The Hornets seized control early with a 19-0 run after Salina Central opened the scoring. Valley Center’s relentless pressure forced 22 turnovers, which translated into 22 points off turnovers. The Mustangs struggled to keep pace as the Hornets delivered consistent scoring across all four quarters.
The Hornets showcased their depth, with every player contributing to the victory. Colby Newton led the scoring with 16 points, fueled by four three-pointers and strong defensive effort with four steals. Austin Saner added 15 points on 6-of-9 shooting, consistently attacking the basket.
