Hornet powerlifters competed in the Goddard/(Wichita)East Virtual Powerlifting Meet over the weekend.

Roman Gage placed 3rd overall in the Men’s Power Division with a three-lift total of 1,135 lbs. He was 3rd in squat (535 lbs.), 4th in clean (295 lbs), and 5th in bench press (305 lbs.).

Justice Grayson finished 6th overall in the Women’s Power Division with a three-lift total of 490 lbs. She was 4th in squat (270 lbs.), 10th in bench press (115 lbs) and 10th in clean (105 lbs.).

Ashton Wedel was 9th overall in the Men’s 156 lbs. Division with a three-lift total of 730 lbs. He finished 6th in clean (215 lbs.) and 10th in squat (320 lbs.).

Blake Johnson just missed a top ten overall finish in the Men’s 172 lbs. Division, placing 11th with a three-lift total of 630 lbs. He placed 7th in clean (185 lbs).

Jakob Bryant competed in the Men’s 220 lbs. Division. He finished as high as 14th place in clean with a 215 lbs. pull.

Powerlifters will be in action again on February 21st at the 5A State Powerlifting Meet in Basehor Linwood.
