The 2024-25 season is exciting for a variety of reasons. We are now competing against many new teams now that we are in the AVCTL-I but we also have to adjust to playing with a shot clock. Our team, which is athletic and fast, is equipped to handle these differences.

Last year we showed tremendous growth and we would love to build off of that momentum. The key to accomplishing this will be on the defensive end. Last year, we were able to hold some good teams to their lowest scoring total of the season. If we can continue to force tough shots and rebound more effectively, that will give us a good start. But we also need to improve our consistency scoring the basketball on the offensive end.

Fortunately, these girls love to compete and are up to the challenge. There will definitely be some ups and downs as we try to adapt to the rigors of this league, but we are confident that we have a team that has the potential to represent the Hornets well. This will be a fun group to watch and cheer on this season.
