The Valley Center High School soccer team ended their season with a close 4-3 loss to Salina South in the state quarterfinals on Nov. 4, finishing with a record of 13-4-1. Despite a strong season, the fourth-seeded Hornets fell to the third-seeded Cougars, who had previously beaten them 2-1 on Oct. 10. Valley Center avoided a rematch with top-seeded Maize South after an upset in the regional round but still faced a tough opponent in Salina South.

The Hornets clinched their third regional title in four years on Oct. 31, defeating Andover 3-1. Key goals came from Juan Diaz, Micah Martin, and Cristian Aguilar, with goalie Nathan Hinds making a critical save to secure the win. Although the team will lose several impactful seniors, including Luke Hoy, Cristian Aguilar, and Tyler Manske, who finished his career with 44 goals, they have talented underclassmen returning to build on this season's success.
