Valley Center @ Andover


One bad quarter cost the Hornets a chance to extend their winning streak to 3. The Hornets battled for the first 2 quarters and the Hornets only trailed Andover by 4 points at halftime. However, during the 3rd quarter the Hornets would turn the ball over too many times. Andover took advantage to pull ahead by 19 points going into the final quarter. The Hornets would make a run late to close the gap, but it was not enough before losing 66-53. Colby Newton and Austin Saner led the Hornets in scoring with 14 and 10 points respectively. Austin Saner led the Hornets on the boards with 6 rebounds.

The Hornets will travel to Maize South for the first round of sub state on Tuesday at 7:00PM.
