Valley Center @ Salina South Varsity Recap

Valley Center traveled to Salina South on Tuesday night with a ticket to sub state on the line. Salina started shooting well right at the start hitting four 3s in the first two minutes of the game to quickly go up 12-2. The Hornets found themselves down 20-13 at the end of the 1st quarter. During the 2nd quarter the Hornets held Salina to just 8 pts, and were only down 26-28 at halftime. In the 3rd quarter Salina would extend their lead to 6 before the Hornets came back to finally take their first lead of the game. The fourth quarter would start with the Hornets being up 46-43. With 5 minutes left the Hornets were holding on to a 4 point lead when Bryson Saner got a shot and foul to convert a 3 point play to put the Hornets up 7. The Hornets never looked back and extended their lead winning 72-58.
