8th Grade A:
The 8th grade A team lost 22-21 to Maize on Monday night. The team came out and played really well majority of the game. We outrebounded Maize 28-15 and I was really proud of how hard we played. Going into the 4th quarter we had a 7 point lead but we were not able to execute down the stretch and ended up losing the game. The leading scorers were: Cage Newton 13, Luke Simmons 4, Braylen Neal 4.

8th Grade B:
The Valley Center Hornets B team lost to Maize 25-22 on Monday night. The team came out and played really hard on defense and I was proud of how well we rebounded. The team had an 8 point lead heading into the 4th quarter but we just weren't able to execute allowing Maize to come back into the game. However, I was proud of Cavion Williams as when we did have a turnover he stopped many fast break opportunities for Maize to keep us in the game. The leading scorers in the game were: Jaxon Welu 5, Lane Loganbill 5, Cameron Poole 4, Carter Nation 3, Savionn Foster 2, Dylan Dennis 2, Kayde Avila 1.

7th Grade A:
The VC A Team 7th grade lost to Maize 39-33! The Hornets were down 33-14 after a very cold 3rd quarter. VC outscored Maize 19 -6 int the 4th quarter but lost 39 -33! Isaac Duncan had 15 points and Tristan Tucker had 11 to lead the Hornets.

7th Grade B:
The B Team beat Maize 29-27 for their 3rd consecutive win! Scoring for the B Team was - Hunter Swingle 7 points, Jake Holcolmb 6 points, Jett Moffitt 5 points, Maddox Tah 4 points, Coulter Wilkinson 3 points, Joel Inglish 2 points and Grayson Schwanke 2 points. The Hornets host Goddard Eisenhower on Thursday for their final game before the League Tournament!
