8th Grade A:
The Valley Center Hornets beat Newton on Thursday 40-35. I was really proud of how well the team came out and played hard on defense as Newton really struggled first quarter on offense. The team was ahead at halftime 25-11 and was playing really well. The second half Newton upped their pressure and we allowed them to get back into the game. However, the team was able to execute down the stretch and win the game.

8th Grade B:
The Valley Center Hornets B team beat Newton on Thursday night 31-29. I was really proud of how well the team came out and played throughout the game. The boys were sharing the ball and looking for each other to score. At one point in the second half, the hornets were down 8 points and we were able to come back and win. Savionn Foster with 30 seconds left drilled a 3 pointer to put the team up for good. The leading scorers in the game were: Savionn Foster 8, Cavion Williams 5, Layne Loganbill 4, Carter Nation 3, Tate Loux 3, Kade Avila 3, Jaxon Welu 2, Cameron Poole 2, Dylan Dennis 1.


7th Grade A:
The Valley Center Hornet 7th grade Team got two wins on Thursday Night! The A team never trailed in the game and after leading by only 7 points at half had the lead by 20 points at one time & beat Newton 35-19! Karson Spall had 8 rebounds and three points, Isaac Duncan had 16 points & five rebounds, Kylin Stephens 4 points & 3 rebounds. Caden Spangler, Mason Schielke, Carson Schielke, & Blake Thompson were instrumental in holding the Railers to 19 points! The A Team is 7-1 for the year!

7th Grade B:
The B Team defeated Newton 40 -13 for their 4th win of the Season. Hunter Swingle and Jett Moffitt lead the VC in scoring with each scoring 8 points. Jake Holcolmb and Joel Inglish scored 6 points. Judah Inglish 4 points, Jaxton Taufest & Madox Tah 3 points. Jaxson Winger rounded out the scoring with 2 points!
