8th A:
The Valley Center Hornets lost to Maize South on Monday night 51-27. The Hornets came out and played really hard and had the game within 4 late in the second quarter. The main issue is we just couldn't get a stop vs Maize South as they were shooting really well and they were able to push the game out. I thought the boys executed on offense much better than in previous games. The leading scorers were: Christian Fowler 10, Braylen Neal 4, Cage Newton 3, Luke Simmons 3, Kayde Avila 3, Andreus Eshleman 2, Layne Loganbill 2.

8B:
The Valley Center Hornets lost their game vs Maize South on Monday night by the score of 36-12. The team came out playing really hard. The main issue the Hornets ran into was we were not shooting the ball well at all. The game was really close at halftime as the score was only 11-6 but our shooting held us back and we weren't ever able to get the game close in the second half. I thought the boys played really hard on the defensive end and rebounding but just came up short on offense tonight. The team was led in scoring by: Jaxon Welu 6, Kayde Avila 4, Savionn Foster 2.


7th A:
The VC 7th Grade Basketball team swept Maize South on Monday Night. The A team jumped out to a 13 -1 lead at the end of the 1st quarter and had a 28-7 lead at halftime! The Hornets held on and won 42-13! Carson Schielke hit 2 three pointers and one free throw and shot 100% for the night. Isaac Duncan had 10 points, Kylin Stephens, 8 points, Tristian Tucker 7 points, Karson Spall 6 points, Caden Spangler 4 points! The A team is 6-1 for the season!

7th B:
The B Team won their 3rd game of the year winning 33-4! Joel Inglish scored 9 points and had 9 rebounds! Jett Moffitt had 8 points and 5 steals. Jake Holcolmb had 6 points. Hunter Swingle, Jaxton Taufest, Grayson Schwanke, Merit Meister, & Jaxson Winger all scored two points! The Hornets Travel on Thursday to play Newton!
