8th A:
The Valley Center Hornets beat Goddard on Thursday night 43-29. The boys came out and played really well on both offense and defense. The Hornets were up after the first quarter 14-8 and never looked back. I felt like this was the best the boys did on rebounding as we were really crashing the boards. The team played really well on offense as there were double digit assists in the game! The leading scorers in the game was: Cage Newton 13, Christian Fowler 11, Andreus Eshleman 8, Braylen Neal 6, Luke Simmons 7.



8th B:
The Valley Center Hornets B team beat Goddard on Thursday night 39-29. I thought the boys played really hard and locked in defensively on our gameplan. We made it difficult for Goddard to score and pushed the game out to a double digit lead at halftime. Goddard didn't quit and make it a game in the 4th quarter but the boys were able to knock down a few shots and free throws to pull away with the victory. The leading scorers was: Layne Loganbill 16, Cavion Williams 10, Kayde Avila 7, Savionn Foster 6.



7th A:
The Valley Center 7th grade Basketball Team defeated Goddard On Thursday February 8th. The Hornets started the game on 15-3 run and ended the game out scoring the Lions 14 to zero in the 4th quarter for a final score of 41-15. Tristan Tucker had 8 points, 9 rebounds and 4 steals. Isaac Duncan had 8 points. Karson Spall, Kylin Stephens, & Caden Spangler all had 6 points. Carson Schielke 3 points, Mason Schielke, & Grayson Schwanke 2 points rounded out the scoring.

7th B:
The B Team lost a heartbreaker 27-25. Hunter Swindle had 7 points and Maddox Tah 13 points to lead the Hornets.
