7th A team:
Hornets past Andover Central Middle School 7A, 43-30, on Monday as Tristan scored 12 points.

Trailing 6-2, Hornets went on an 8-point run to take the lead. Hornets got out to a 31-13 lead at halftime before closing out the victory.

The first quarter was the best for the Hornets as they outscored Andover Central Middle School 17-7. Hornets shot 6-10 in the quarter.

Tristan and Carson each hit multiple three-pointers for the Hornets. The team shot 6-12 (50%) from beyond the arc. Other scorers in the game were, Karson 11, Carson 6, Mason 5, Kylin 4, Blake 3, Caden 2.


7th B team:
The A Team is 4-1! The B Team had a strong 1st half but went cold the 2nd half! Maddox Tah had 8 points & Hunter Swindle had 6 points to lead the B Team in scoring! The B Team is 2-5!

A Team:
The Valley Center Hornets lost to Andover Central on Monday night 42-18. Andover Central came out in a defense that they haven't played all year and I didn't have the boys ready for that defense. By the time we were able to adjust at halftime, Andover Central was up 10 and we just couldn't get back into the game. The boys again played really hard and I continue to be proud of the effort the boys give each and every game. The execution on defense and on offense just wasn't where it needed to be to win the game. The leading scorers for the game were: Christian Fowler 6, Andreus Eshleman 4, Cage Newton 3, Carter Nation 3, Braylen Neal 2.

B team:
The B team lost to Andover Central Monday night 39-18. Andover Central came out and played pressure defense against the Hornets and we didn't handle the pressure well. Turnovers were a weakness throughout the game and really stunted the team's ability to score to stay in the game. The leading scorers in the game were: Savionn Foster 5, Cavion Williams 4, Lane Loganbill 4, Carter Nation 3, Cameron Poole 2.
