8th Grade B vs Goddard:
The Valley Center B team beat Goddard 26-24 Saturday morning in the B team tournament. I felt the boys played hard but weren't really executing first half. The second half the team came out and started to make some shots after being down to Goddard by 7 early in the 3rd quarter. The boys made a run and took the lead and never let Goddard get the lead back. The Hornets were led in scoring by: Savionn Folster 9, Layne Loganbill 8, Jaxon Welu 4, Cameron Poole 4, Cavion Williams 2.


8th Grade B vs Andover:
The Valley Center B team beat Andover 38-23 on Saturday in the B team tournament. I was so happy with how the boys responded as this same team beat the team earlier in the year. The team came out and led Andover take a 4-0 lead but after that the Hornets were in control the rest of the way. I felt the team did a great job handling the press from Andover and executing the offense. The Hornets were led in scoring by: Layne Loganbill 13, Savionn Folster 11, Kayde Avilia 6, Cameron Poole 3, Jaxon Welu 2, Cavion Williams 2, Carter Nation 1.


7th Grade B team writeup:
The B Team lost 2 games at Andover but made great improvement. The second game against Andover the Hornets had a tying 3 pointer at the end of the game go in and out after being down by 11 points at one time. Andover had beat VC by 20 points last week! Maddox Tah, Jett Moffitt, & Grayson Schwanke were the leading scorers for the Hornets! Jake Holcolmb & Hunter Swindle were the leading rebounders! Hornet 7th Grade A & B Team Travel to Salina Lakewood on Thursday!
