8th Grade A:
The 8th Grade A team won vs Derby 41-25 Thursday night. The boys came out and the first few minutes played timid but after that they were able to lock in and they played much better. The team overall is starting to execute the offense much better as we were able to score a season high 41 points. Cage Newton was able to hit 5 3s in the game and 4 of them were in the first half which helped the Hornets build a double digit lead heading into halftime. The team never looked back and was even able to push the game out further. The scoring for the Hornets was: Cage Newton 19, Christian Fowler 6, Braylen Neal 6, Andreus Eishleman 6, Luke Simmons 4.

8th Grade B:
The 8th Grade B team won vs Derby 34-17 on Thursday night. The boys came out and weren't hitting at all in the 1st quarter. The boys were able to calm down and went into halftime tied 12-12. The team really came out and started to hit some shots to push the score to double digits. I was really proud of how hard the boys played throughout the game. The Hornets were led in scoring by: Savionn Foster 11, Carter Nation 7, Kade Avilia 6, Tate Loux 4, Cameron Poole 4, Cavion Williams 2.

7th Grade A:
The 7th Grade A Team Beat Derby in a defensive battle on Thursday Night 27-22. The Hornets were down 9-2 to start the game but were only down 12-10 at half. VC scored 8 straight points in the 3rd quarter and held on for a 27 to 22 win. Kylin Stephens and Tristan Tucker led the Hornets in the win. Kylin had 9 points, 5 steals,2 assists & 7 rebounds & Tristan had 7 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists, & 3 steals!

7th Grade B:
The B team lost to Derby 32-23. Jake Holcolmb & Jett Moffitt lead the Hornets with 8 points and 7 points respectively. The 2-1 Hornets travel to Salina Lakewood on February 1st for their next game.
