The Valley Center JV boys went on the road to take on the Goddard Lions on Tuesday. The Hornets took an early 15-12 lead after the first quarter, and were up 26-23 at the half. Valley opened up a 10-point lead going into the 4th, and held off a Lion comeback in the end, winning 47-45. The Hornets were led by Preston Looney, who scored 12 points. Ray J Logan added 9, and Evan Chavez followed with 8. The Hornets JV team heads into Christmas break with a 4-2 record on the year.
