The C team girls moved to 2-1 on the season with a thrilling overtime win against Eisenhower. The Hornets lead at half 19-15. But a big 3rd quarter by Eisenhower gave them a 34-25 lead heading into the final quarter. But a huge offensive effort by the Hornets gave them a three-point lead with 5 seconds to go in regulation. Eisenhower converted a three-point play after being fouled on a drive to the basket forcing overtime. The Hornets outscored the Tigers 7-5 in the extra frame to secure the victory.

Dylan Cummings lead all scorers with 28. Leah Hamm scored 11 while Jocelyn Knoblauch had 4. Payton Carillo, Bailey Freeman and Elaina Taylor all had 3 points apiece. Alyvia Bass and Morgan Morris each scored 2.

The JV squad suffered their first loss of the season in a hard-fought game to Eisenhower 36-32. The teams were tied at 19 at half. But Eisenhower outscored the Hornets 13-4 in the 3rd quarter and VC couldn’t overcome that deficit in the 4th.

Taylor McDonald lead the scoring with 8. Jasmine Conway and Dylan Cummings had 6 each. Abreya Perry scored 4, Leah Hamm 3, Brooklyn Pritchard and Cassidy Child 2 apiece and Katie Anderson chipped in 1.
