The Hornets opened their season at home against Liberal. The Hornets traded baskets early with Liberal, but eventually Liberal jumped out to a 10 point lead by the end of the first quarter. By halftime, Liberal had extended their lead to 32-18. The Hornets continued to battle in the second half forcing 15 Liberal turnovers with their defensive pressure and cutting the lead to 7 points late in the fourth quarter. Despite their effort they came up short, eventually losing 79-65. The Hornets next game is Friday, December 8 against Andale at home.
