7A lost to Goddard 10-31. We played tentatively in the first quarter, allowing Goddard to jump out to a 13 point lead. Jerzie Shultz did a good job driving the lane and drawing fouls, and Kenzie Truman played aggressive defense at the top of the zone, creating turnovers and forcing several jump balls. The girls played the best offense I've seen this season in the 4th quarter. We moved the ball well and were able to get inside out movement. We scored 6 in the 4th quarter but took several good shots that didn't fall. Shultz ended the game with 3, Avery Schiffelbein, Kelsey Friend, and Bri Kessler had 2, and Kinsley Johnston scored 1.

Despite being down 7-2 at halftime, the team rallied back and took the lead 10-9 with just over a minute left on the clock. However, the Hornets missed a crucial shot attempt, allowing the Lions to score two quick baskets and ultimately clinch the victory. Ella Holt and Bri Kessler led the team's scoring with four points each, while Makynzee Breth contributed two points. It's worth noting that the Hornets showed improvement since their previous match up with the Lions, where they lost by 10 points.
