In a hard-fought battle under the Thursday night lights, the 8th-grade Hornets of Valley Center faced a tough challenge against the Andover Trojans. Despite their best efforts, the Hornets came up short, falling to a final score of 30-0. With this loss, their record now stands at 1-5 for the season, leaving them with one last opportunity to finish the season on a high note.

From the opening kickoff, it was evident that the Andover Trojans had come prepared for a fierce contest. Their strong defense proved to be a formidable wall that the Hornets struggled to penetrate, while their offense capitalized on opportunities, putting points on the board early.

The Hornets, however, displayed unwavering determination throughout the game. They fought hard on both sides of the ball, attempting to break through the Trojans' defense and mounting their own defensive stands. Despite the score, the Valley Center Hornets showcased resilience and sportsmanship, earning the respect of both their fans and opponents.

Looking ahead, the Hornets are gearing up for their final game of the season this Thursday, where they will face Salina Lakewood. It's a chance for redemption and an opportunity to end the season on a positive note.
