In a heart-pounding showdown on Thursday, the Valley Center Hornets 7th-grade football team emerged victorious in a thrilling 22-20 victory over the Andover Trojans. The excitement was palpable as the Hornets pulled off a dramatic win, with Caden Spangler scoring the game-winning touchdown with just under 2 minutes left in the game.

From the opening whistle, it was clear that both teams were determined to leave everything on the field. The Valley Center Hornets came out with a fierce determination to end their season on a high note. The Andover Trojans, however, were not to be underestimated, and they gave the Hornets a tough fight throughout the game.

The Hornets' offense was firing on all cylinders, and it was Caden Spangler who stole the show, racking up an impressive 100 yards rushing and notching two crucial rushing touchdowns. Rowen Wilson also made a significant contribution with his own rushing touchdown, adding to the team's offensive firepower.

Defensively, the Hornets were equally impressive. They showed resilience and determination, making critical stops to keep the Trojans at bay. The entire team came together to hold off a late-game surge by the Andover Trojans, sealing the victory in front of the opposing crowd.

As the Hornets celebrate this hard-fought victory, they now turn their attention to their final game of the season. This Thursday, they will face off against a Salina Lakewood team in what promises to be another exciting matchup. The Hornets will look to carry the momentum from this win into their last game, hoping to finish the season on a high note.
