As the season comes to an end we begin this busy week for the JV volleyball team with our last home game at Valley Center High School. Last night was Senior Night for our volleyball team and our opponents for the evening were our second matches against Salina Central and Andover High. After the results of an injury to one of our players, the girls had to step into new roles and more court time for some to fill players shoes. We started off our evening against Salina Central who we took to battle the last time we played them at home in September in three sets for a close match. We came in ready to push and push is what the girls did. We fell to a loss in three sets, but the playing was controlled and we were making moves when we had the ball.

We had some all stars rise to the occasion this game with an overall average of .232 hitting and lead hitters as: Caris Claussen (9) with a .600 and Kailee Michaud (10) with a .300. Serve Receive passing all-stars were Alyson Sparman (10) with a 2.0, Avery Davison (10) with a 2.2, Cheyenne Lang (10) 2.0, and Caris Claussen (9) with a 1.8.

Against Andover, we gave what we could to stay in the game but we fell to the Trojans in a 0-2 loss. Our stats dropped during this game which pushed into our harder loss, but our all-stars for this game included: Ashlyn McCoy (9), Caris Claussen (9) with a perfect serving percentage of 100%. Kailee Michaud (10) had the highest SR with a 2.0, Avery Davison (10) and Alyson Sparman (10) came in second with a 1.6 average.

VC vs. Andover: 19-25 (L); 23-25 (L)

JV will play in El Dorado this weekend against Ark City, Buhler, and El Dorado in pool!
