Valley Center JV Volleyball is coming to a quick wrap, with two more week left after this busy week for the JV Hornet Volleyball team. September 28th, the JV/V courts took on the Cheney Cardinals and the Goddard Lions for a battle both games. Despite the loss against both teams, this group of girls are learning and growing with every touched ball they have. Recapping on the beginning of the year, our team if filled with (now) 4 Freshman and 6 Sophomores with one returning JV player. This season has shown much grit and much grace for understanding the sport more and fine tuning the skills to bringing it all together as a team at a higher level of volleyball.

Scores for September 28th JV:
VC vs. Cheney: 23-25; 15-25 (L)
VC vs. Goddard: 8-25; 22-25 (L)

Finishing off the week, JV hosted their home tournament on September 30th and played in a pool with Wichita Southeast, Wellington, Campus, and Buhler. Valley started off the morning with a well deserved win against Southeast and a hard battle to 3-sets against Wellington. Valley unfortunately lost a vital player due to an injury and with last minute rotational switches, took a battle against Campus and Buhler with a loss to both.

Tournament scores were:
VC vs. Southeast: 25-11; 25-7 (W)
VC vs. Wellington: 25-17; 25-27; 10-15 (L)
VC vs. Campus: 20-25; 18-25 (L)
VC vs. Buhler: 18-25; 19-25 (L)

Valley Center JV plays their last home game (Senior Night) 10/3 at 5p and 7p and will have their last tournament before League in El Dorado 10/7.
