In a thrilling Thursday night showdown, the 7th-grade Valley Center Hornets surged to a resounding 36-12 victory over the Eisenhower Tigers. With this win, the Hornets improved their season record to an impressive 3 wins and 2 losses.

The Hornets' offense was firing on all cylinders, and it was a night to remember for their young athletes. Caden Spangler amassed an astounding 180 rushing yards and contributed a crucial rushing touchdown that set the tone for the game. Not to be outdone, Rowen Wilson showcased his prowess with three rushing touchdowns of his own, proving to be a key component of the Hornets' offensive strategy. Lyle Heck rounded out the offensive onslaught with another rushing touchdown, contributing to the Hornets' impressive 36-point total. The entire offense worked seamlessly, executing plays with precision and teamwork.

However, it wasn't just the offense that shone brightly on this memorable evening. The Hornet defense was equally remarkable, shutting out the Goddard Lions in the second half of the game. Their relentless pursuit of the ball, solid tackling, and excellent coverage made it nearly impossible for the Tigers to mount any sort of comeback.

As the Hornets celebrate this impressive victory, they know that they have set a high standard for themselves. The Hornets look to build on this win as they face Andover this Thursday.
