The Valley Center JV Volleyball team started their first home game (9/5), second set of league games, off with a promising win against the Goddard Lions for the first win under this young teams' belt for the season. To end the evening we gave Eisenhower a challenge, but came up short with a 2-set loss against the Tigers for a 1-1 record to end the evening.

Scores from 9/5 are as follows:
Valley Center vs. Goddard: 25-12, 25-21 (W)
Valley Center vs. Eisenhower: 20-25, 23-25 (L)

With many lineup adjustments made throughout the evening to keep our momentum moving forward, these girls overall did a great job making adjustments and playing aggressively, especially against Eisenhower.

Our top leaders for our games yesterday were Aly Sparman, Sophie Simmons and Avery Davison. Avery and Aly both lead us with the highest SR% with Sparman and Davison tying for an average of 1.9. Sparman served about a 75% for our team for both matches. Sophie Simmons lead in hitting % for us with a solid kill against Eisenhower and an average of .333 against Goddard.

Our JV team is just getting started, and this Saturday 9/9 will be a large test to our hard work and growth setting us up for the rest of the season. We will play this weekend in Conway Springs starting at 8:30am.

GO HORNETS!
