ANDALE-- The Valley Center boys varsity team won 50-46 at Andale Friday night.  The Hornets used an 8-0 run to start the second half to erase a halftime deficit and win to move to 2-0 on the season.  The hornets were led by Sam Kemp with 22 points and 4 assists. Eli Lefto made 4 3-pointers finishing with 14 points and 4 blocks.  Valley is back in action on Tuesday night at Eisenhower.

The Hornets battled for 3 quarters and were only down 33-27 heading into 4th. Andale used a strong 4th quarter to beat the Hornets 50-33.

Freshmen

The Hornets fell behind after one quarter and trailed by 8 at the half, 17-9. Andale extended its lead to 13 by the end of the third, and eventually the Hornets fell 45-31. Brady Haight led the way for VC with 10 points and made two 3’s. Nash Jamolod followed with 6, and Koko Nyimbo and Dustin Cochran both had 4.
