The excitement is building as we prepare to kick off the 2025–26 wrestling season, and this year’s squad is poised to make some serious noise on the mats. With a strong core of returning athletes, a renewed sense of purpose, and a room full of hungry competitors, the expectations are high—and rightfully so.
Entering my 7th year as Head Wrestling Coach, I’m proud to lead a team returning seven Varsity wrestlers, including three state qualifiers. This blend of experience, leadership, and drive sets the foundation for what promises to be one of our most competitive seasons yet.
Leading the charge are our two senior standouts, Cooper Boone and Beau Young—both returning state placers. After climbing the podium last season, each has set his sights even higher. Their goal? Nothing short of bringing home state titles. Their commitment in the offseason, combined with their intensity in the room, has set the tone for the entire program.
Supporting them is a solid group of seasoned seniors: Gavin Saner, Jack Lampe, and DeMarcus Rojas. Each returns with valuable Varsity experience and a clear understanding of what it takes to compete at a high level. Their leadership will be crucial as we navigate another challenging schedule.
Rounding out our returning lineup are Junior Jace Schwartz and Sophomore Jamo Blackwell—both tough, talented wrestlers ready to take big steps forward this season. Their continued development will play a key role in our team’s overall success.
With this combination of veteran leadership and emerging talent, the expectations for the 2025–26 season are as high as ever. The work has been put in, the goals are set, and the team is ready.
Let’s get to work—and let’s make this season one to remember.
