JV started their busy week of playing off at Maize South High school to compete their last league games versus the Mavericks and the Hutchinson Salthawks.

We competed against the Salthawks first with a three-set win to confirm a 2-0 streak against them for the league season. What really helped push us against the Salthawks was our serve receive with our leaders being Addi Menefee (9th), Mallory Ferguson (10th), and Jocelyn Robles (11th) with all 2.0 passing rates. Our DS Paige Gibbs had a very nice kill from the back row this game and the girls seemed to just enjoy the play, especially during set three.

We competed very well against the Mavericks in three sets (which was a goal for us if necessary) and did so in a slightly adjusted rotation. We took the win the second set and really battled the third, but let them catch back up to us in the end for a loss. Menefee and Paige Gibbs (10th) lead in serve receive this game and Taelyn Holmes (9th) with a .500 and Daisy Schomaker (10th) with a .200 hitting % really helped push us. Mackenzie Bahl, Jocelyn Robles and Taelyn Holmes had some very impressive serving runs as well with >4 each. Rachel Garten was a blocking queen getting touches on many of the Mavericks balls each rotation she was in.

We ended our evening 1-1 and compete again, today, at Campus versus the Colts and the Andover Trojans.
