Your Valley Center Hornets Junior Varsity hosted the VC Invitational this past Saturday (10/4) and competed with some very great competition to finalize our last appearance at home for the 2025 fall season. The amount of growth that continues to come from these girls is outstanding to watch and as their coach, I enjoy seeing them support one another through it all. We played very competitive teams this date and ended the weekend with a 2-2 record. Unfortunately we did not make it out of our pool due to point differentiation but had some all-star players standout from this tournament. Jocelyn Robles (11th- who is featured in our photo above) really stepped up as a dependable Outside Hitter during this tournament. She was scrappy on our side of the net and really stepped up in leadership overall. Daisy Schomaker (10th) is another reliable Outside for us and does well being a 6-rotation player.
Some praise to Taelyn Holmes for stepping up into a 5-1 rotation by the end of the day and tying with three of her teammates (Kenzie Bahl - 9th; Addalyn Menefee - 9th) in aces for the whole day with 6 each.
