The middle school football season is heating up at the midway point, and both the 7th and 8th grade teams have given fans plenty to cheer about. The 7th graders are off to a strong 2-1 start, with an explosive offense. Dominic Alvarez and Reid Avila have been the spark plugs on offense, making big plays that keep the chains moving and the crowd buzzing. Defensively, Reid Woodruff and Carter Stephan have been relentless, flying to the ball and setting the tone with their toughness. This balanced attack has helped the 7th grade squad build momentum heading into the second half of the season.
The 8th graders have battled through a challenging schedule and currently stand at 1-2, but the record doesn’t tell the whole story. Their offense has been led by standout efforts from Hanley Barton, Barrett Babb, and Chase Newton, who continue to deliver big moments when the team needs them most. On the defensive side, Kelvin Wilson, Diego Machain, and Brayson Griblin have been the backbone, making key stops and showing grit against tough opponents. Despite a couple of close losses, this group has shown resilience and the ability to keep games competitive from start to finish.
As both teams head into the back half of their seasons, there’s a sense of excitement around what they can accomplish. Coaches have praised the players’ hard work, teamwork, and hunger to improve each week. With the 7th graders looking to build on their winning record and the 8th graders eager to turn the corner, fans can expect plenty of fireworks, grit, and pride on display on Thursday nights.
