9/8 Matches- Lakewood and Derby
The Hornet volleyball team saw lots of improvements in their matches on Monday against Derby and
Lakewood.
For our 8th-grade A team, Averie Dewey had a great match at the net vs Derby, getting numerous blocks.
The B team battled hard to get a win in 3 sets versus Derby with Kyler Menges dominating the front row.
For our 7 th graders, the A team beat Derby with Ariya Shultz leading the charge, playing great all the way
around and being a continuous positive voice, while Elly Westmoreland had a great game serving and
moving around on the court for the B team. Some areas of focus for the teams this week will be hustling
after balls and making every point count.
