C-Team volleyball squad showcased both competitive spirit and improvement over two recent match days, going 2-1 at Eisenhower High School on September 4 and battling through three tough matches at the Andover Central Invitational and going 1-2 on September 6.
On Thursday, September 4, Valley Center traveled to Eisenhower High School to compete against Goddard, Ark City, and Eisenhower High Schools. The Hornets came out strong, securing wins in two of their three matches defeating Ark City & Goddard. The team served consistently throughout the evening, finishing with a combined serving average of 82%, and 11 kills on the night.
Saturday we traveled to Andover Central for an invitational tournament, where they faced a new round of tough competition. Valley Center finished 1-2 on the day but demonstrated notable improvement in one key area — serving. The team boosted their serve average to an impressive 89%, showing endurance and adaptability despite the quick turnaround between events.
The team’s resilience and upward momentum is fabulous and the girls are really starting to find their rhythm. We’re seeing better communication on the court and a noticeable increase in serving confidence.
